inhlakulo npo project details

Project Details

As far as farming in the present location is concerned, Inhlakulo is into crop farming and processing. The live stock program is planned for the future.

Beneficiaries within our surrounding communities and others outside of the Gauteng province whose needs can be met through some of the programs we have continue to be identified. The communities are generally poor, some child headed, with some households being headed by a single parent, with limited access to skills and thus no employment. As a basic need access to food is a struggle for these households. A nutritious and healthy diet is out the question. To benefit from the programs, individuals/households raise their need directly or are identified by the staff of Inhlakulo or Abba farms.

Project objectives
  • To secure land for fresh produce farming and agricultural purposes, through donation or the right to occupy.
  • To run a processing centre/s for most of the produce in support of the beneficiaries.
  • To employ people within the communities we operate in for the staff complement in order to eradicate poverty and upskill them for sustainability and employability.
  • To empower school children through giving them basic skills in farming and re-inculcating agricultural studies to being part of the curriculum.
  • To donate food parcels to the underprivileged households and schools.
  • To partner with other organisations in pursuing and fast tracking the roll out of the objectives of Inhlakulo.
  • To provide training for the households in need (especially women, single parents and surrounding area) and have them certified with the hope to aid in the course for seeking employment or even so that they can start their farming operations.
  • To support health focused organisations with our nutrition and health programs.
  • To seek sponsorship that can advance the above-mentioned objectives.
